get good at playing them!
This workshop gets you playing, using all 5 Pentatonic
positions, plus . . .
We're going to build about a dozen useful phrases, use
them in SOLOS! AND . . . we're going to build TWO huge,
long scales that will take you over the keytboard!
I won't just show you the scales. You'll hear them, and
WORK them by playing them over special backing tracks designed
specifically for each scale, shape and pattern you learn!
THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR PLAYERS WHO ARE REALLY
INTERESTED IN IMPROVING ALL OF YOUR SKILL SETS!
NOTE: This workshop doesn't cover piano or horn technique! It's not
about HOW to play, it's about WHAT to play! What to practice.
That being said . . . keyboard players, you should be doing this
entire workshop with BOTH hands. Sometimes, at the same time!
Other times, just the left, or just the right. When you are working
your right hand, you can usually just play an Am chord with the left!
This workshop focuses mainly on the A minor/C Major Pentatonic scales.
Once you get through this workshop . . .
1). You will start playing EVERYTHING YOU DO . . . BETTER!
2). You'll use these exercises as part of your daily warm up, forever!
3). You will move on to the next workshop . . . and play ALL of
the keys! And work on them chromatically. One key at a time.
The minor Pentatonic scale is used in improvisation in every genre. Blues,
Country, Folk, Gospel, Jazz, Rock. Because of it's simple 5-note pattern,
it's simplicity, and the fact that it leaves out the 2 notes that most often
clash. The ones that cause mistakes while improvising.
Simply put . . . Just take a minor scale, or major scale, and leave off
the HALF STEPS!
By mastering the Pentatonic scales, you can enhance your playing and
improvisational skills on the piano, or any instrument!
It briefly covers what they are, and how you use them over any chord or
chord progression! Click over, read it. It takes all of a few minutes!

Pentatonic Tutorial
If you want to improve chord changing speed and articulation!
Lead and Soloing Speed, Articulation, and over all Dexterity!
This workshop will get you there!
There is only ONE REASON you cannot play your instrument
like you want to. ONE! One reason you don't play as well
as the music heroes you admire, and wish you could play like!
And the ONE REASON is . . . Because you haven't played the
right things enough times! PERIOD!
You all know the old saying about doing something 10,000 times
before you master it. Let's say that number is correct. You have
to do EVERYTHING 10,000 times! NOT just sit at your keyboard
10,000 times!
You can't practice everything, every time you pick up your guitar,
or horn, or sit at the keys. Let's say you're able to practice 1/6th
of everything every time you sit down to practice. OK, that means
you have to sit at your keyboard 60,000 times!
The good news is it doesn't take 10,000. Not if you practice the
right things, enough times! And, the correct way!
You need to do all the things most of you don't do! And do them
a LOT! And this workshop is about to help you do just that!
Each workshop "targets" one specific aspect or skill set, but
the result of doing the workshop "AFFECTS" all of your skill sets!
This is a Workshop, not a tutorial! As in, you'll WORK it! Over
time! Usually about 90 days. And 3 things will happen!
1). You will begin to see results DAILY after a short time!
2). You will notice a dynamic difference in your speed, and articulation!
3). OTHERS WILL NOTICE, TOO! ~ EVERYONE WILL NOTICE!!!
As a result of working this workshop, that targets a simple 5-note
scale, not only will you be playing single note patterns much cleaner,
and much faster, but everything you play will improve! Including going
from chord to chord!
